Suicide Awareness/Prevention Walk

Thursday, September 10 MSUN Campus near the clock tower Activities begin at 7pm Featuring special guest Darla Tyler-McSherry Founder of Ask in Earnest To reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission, we are asking participants to arrive at the event no earlier than 6:45pm, practice social distancing, and wear masks during the event. Masks will be available.

Brene Brown Book Club

Participants are asked to purchase their own copy of the book or audio book and start reading/listening. They should register by Friday, Sept 4th, 2020 and mark their calendar for the virtual discussions on September 12th and September 26th from 3:00 pm- 4:00 pm. It is vital to register so that participants can get the login information for the zoom meetings. There will also be an opportunity to win a prize! For every virtual discussion you attend, your name will be entered into a drawing for different prizes. QUESTION, PERSUADE, REFER (QPR) Three steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide. Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives. QPR is the most widely taught Gatekeeper training in the world. The training is about 90 minutes and your certification will be active for 3 years.
